National Leadership Conclave 2007-2008

A quick update on the National Leadership Conclave 2007-2008. The dates for the program are June 20 – June 22, 2008.

Agenda: The program will run for 2.5 days and will be a mix of lecture & exercises on Leadership-related topics and brain-storming/case studies centered around problems & opportunities facing Round Table India. There will also be several important speakers who will speak on different facets of Tabling. A detailed agenda and list of guest speakers will follow and will be sent out by Monday of next week.

Venue: Clarks Inn, Bangalore www.clarksinn.in 

Convenors: Mukesh Lund of Bangalore 129 is the Venue Convenor and Vikram Agarwal of Bangalore 129 is the Home Hosting/Transportation Convenor.

Participants: 34 Tablers from across the country. At least 2 Tablers were invited from each Area and in most Areas at least 3 Tablers were invited. A total of 21 participants have confirmed (in writing) and we are pleased to have them with us!! The list is below.

Participant Costs: We are heavily subsidizing the cost and each participant is paying Rs.4500 to attend the program.

Trainers: The Lead Trainers for the event will be Gautam Rao and Manish Bhanushali. Sq.Lg.Ram Seshu and HT.Sanjay Asher will also be conducting modules.

I want to thank Ajay, Himanshu, Manish and Vineet – all of whom have been active participants in this planning process for this event.

Dear Tablers/Honorary tablers/Sq Leg/Circlers,

Wish you all a very Happy Ugadi……

Leadership Conclave was conducted on 6^th April at Cotton county Club. Though we started the programme a little beyond schedule and it was really a great success.

Tr Manish Bhanushalli NST elect from Ahmedabad Round table 40 was here a day before for 100th meeting of HKRT 178. Person who enjoys fellowship every minute & every drop even after a late nite was there on dot.

We had 15 participants attending this programme. We started with Ice breaker……Manish took all of us out & played the game joining the body parts & this went on for almost 20 mins & all became fresh & most of them who thought HR as a boring subject came out of this mind set.

We were then asked to introduce the person sitting next to us & this was all the more fun. Some of them went on & on too personal hmmmm……….

Questionnaire Self Image was circulated & all were busy answering exam paper & thinking of gaining more marks till Manish announced the results. Most of them asked for copy to keep continuing this method of self explanation & also wanted to try at their home & office.

It was our own Tr Abdul Sadiq’s turn now with two exciting games. Communication skill which plays a vital role in each individual’s life was conducted. He asked all to fold a paper & then tear corners & every one came with different design. Reason very simple COMMUNICATION. We had debate on this & came to a conclusion that COMMUNICATION is very important.

Next was team work & leadership, again Tr Abdul Sadiq made us play Footwear Game. It was very exciting on how each tired to push & pull each other to form a circle. Nice one to play anywhere anytime specially before a morning meeting at office.

We had a lunch break for almost 30 mins but all were back fully charged & ready for this session.

We had four groups made & a case study was given. Everyone had to comment on the case study, same was noted & came up with different answers’.

It was then time for very important subject PUBLIC SPEAKING. Believe me this really works, all were given different subject & asked to speak for only 2 mins & those 02 mins is really a big time when one comes & stands there. All participated which was recorded & then displayed one by one. It really helps one to improve himself on public speaking.

Friends it was more of fun & hats off to Tr Manish for taking on & on….. Manish you’re too good my dear friend. Thanks for coming all the way from Ahmedabad to Area X in spite of not being too well.  My heartfelt thanks to Tr Sadiq for all the support extended & coordinating with Tr Manish & participants.

Tr Parshanth & all tablers of 178 thank you for hosting this programme which was fully subsidised hence it was FOC for all participants. As usual our Area Chairman Tr Mohan who never says NO was standing right beside me for everything. Thank you Mohan & am proud to be part of Area board.

Lastly thanks all tablers, HT Riyaz & NHT D K for sparing your valuable time that too a Sunday & making this programme a Grand Success.

HRD- AREA X (2007-08)

 

Text Programme

Dear Tablers,

TEXT for our Area X was conducted on 16^th & 17^th June 07 @ Hotel Naveen. It was 1 ½ day session where in Chairmen & Secretaries of almost all tables of Area X had attended.

We had with us Tr Manish Bhanushalli from Area 3 & our own Tr Abdul Sadiq as trainers. Chairman’s & Secretary Session was arranged in two different halls. Late evening we had arranged fellowship where in Karaoke was put up. Later Tr Manish made two separate teams one for Secretary & another for chairman’s & asked them to make a chain out of the clothes & whatever they were wearing. It was just fun will most of the tablers where half naked. At last the secretary of Area X won the competition.

Next day morning we had President Tr. Ajay Handa spoke on his plans for the year also our Area X chairman Tr Mohan Mankani showed us his plans & idea to have a fulfilled year ahead.

We winded up before lunch by giving mementos to our guest. Immediately after lunch we could see tablers checking out & rushing back to continue weekend with their families.
